CRESSON, Pa. -- On Saturday, the Mount Aloysius Lacrosse team played their final regular season game of 2022, when they traveled to Lancaster Bible. The Mounties dropped the contest, 20-11.

Katie Figinski (Abingdon, MD, Edgewood) led the Mounties with five points, three goals and two assists. She scored all three goals on free-position shots. Figinski also had a team-high, eight draw controls.

Maddie Waite (New Oxford, PA, New Oxford) also scored there goals for the Mounties, to go along with two draw controls.

Zoe Swank (Romeoville, IL, Romeoville), had a game-high, 10 saves, and also registered five ground balls.
How It Happened
- Lancaster Bible scored the first two goals, just over a minute into the game, giving them a 2-0 lead. Mount Aloysius'Â
Courtney Vought (Somerset, PA, Somerset) scored first to halve the lead, on an assist from
Mallie Lanier (Bealeton, Va., Liberty). Waite then added a second Mountie goal, tying the game at two, about halfway through the first quarter.
- The Chargers added three more goals over the final seven-plus minutes of the first quarter, sandwiched around Waite's second goal, sending the game to the second quarter, 5-3 LBC.
- In the second quarter, LBC again scored the first two goals, scoring them only 26 seconds apart. After Waite added her third goal of the game, the Chargers scored three more goals to give them a 10-4 lead. Mount Aloysius' Lanier added the fifth Mountie goal, on an assist from
Hanna Geissler (Irwin, Pa., Norwin), to close out the first half scoring. 10-5 Lancaster Bible.
- Once again, Lancaster Bible scored first, when they scored the first three goals of the third quarter, opening up their biggest lead to that point, 13-5. Figinski answered with two consecutive free-position shots, cutting the lead to 13-7. Both teams traded the next four goals, with the two Mountie markers scored by Figinski and Geissler. Vought scored her second goal of the game with just over three minutes left in the quarter, ending the third quarter scoring. LBC would lead 15-10 heading into the final period.
- Mount Aloysius seemingly ran out of gas in the fourth quarter, as they were outscored, 5-1. Lanier added her second goal of the game, for the Mounties' only score.
Into the Box Score
- Lancaster Bible outshot the Mounties, 46-18, for the game. They also had a significant advantage in draw controls, 24-10.
- Both teams turned it over fairly evenly, with the Chargers committing 25 miscues and the Mounties committing 24.
- Each team was also very efficient on clear attempts, as the Mounties converted 16 of their 19 tries and LBC was successful at a 10-for-13 clip.
Mount Aloysius finished in fifth place in the United East, at 2-4. They were a game out of a playoff spot. The final game concludes their 2022 season.
