CRESSON, Pa. -- On Monday, the Mount Aloysius Men's Basketball program released their 2022-23 schedule. The slate features 10 home games and two classic/tournaments.

In non-conference play, the Mounties will open up their season at Carlow, on November 9. The meeting features a future AMCC matchup against the Celtics, as they are set to join the AMCC in 2023-24. They will then open the home portion of the schedule on November 12 against Penn State DuBois.

Mount Aloysius will host non-conference opponents, Penn College on November 30 and Bethany on December 16. They will also travel to Chatham, (Dec. 10), Goucher (Nov. 15), Houghton (Dec. 2), all in single games.

On November 18-19, the Mounties will travel to Timken Gymnasium for the Wooster Rotary Classic. They open the tournament against the hosts on Friday and will play either Ohio Northern or Randolph on Saturday. Prior to Christmas, they will get back on the road for the Catholic Basketball Invitational in Washington, D.C., where they will play Catholic on December 19 and Southern Virginia on December 20, both at Catholic.

Coming back after the new year, Mount Aloysius will open the AMCC double round-robin schedule, with a trip to Penn State Behrend on January 4. All games beginning on January 4 will be conference games for the rest of the season. In a new setup for 2022-23, games against La Roche, Penn State Altoona, and Pitt-Greensburg will be played as single games, playing at opposite sites from the women. The matchups against northern AMCC opponents will still be played as doubleheaders, with the men playing first, this season.

Mount Aloysius will look to improve after Coach Marcus Thomas' first season, as they attempt to make a return to the AMCC Tournament.
