Carlow Hands Mounties 3-1 Loss

PITTSBURGH -- On Tuesday, the Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer team headed to Highmark Stadium, in downtown Pittsburgh, to face future AMCC-foe, Carlow, in a non-conference matchup. The Celtics bested the Mounties, 3-1.

Leaders
- Jordan Mason (Hagerstown, Md. / St. Maria Goretti) scored her first goal of the season, to lead the Mounties in the scoring column.
- Goalkeeper, Courtney Vought (Somerset, Pa. / Somerset), had a team-high, seven saves in goal.
- Jasmine Hinton (Huntingtown, Md. / Huntingtown) had a team-high, five shots, with three of them landing on target, but all being denied.

How It Happened
- Mason scored first to give the Mounties a 1-0 lead, in the 37th minute, on a shot from inside the 18.
- Carlow responded by scoring the tying marker, just over a minute later. The teams would remain tied heading into the break.
- The Celtics would score goals in the 51st and 57th minutes, to take a 3-1 lead. Neither team would score over the final 32-plus minutes of the contest.
