MEADVILLE, Pa. -- On Wednesday, the Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer team returned from a weekend bye and traveled to Meadville to take on Allegheny in a non-conference matchup. The Mounties fell to the Gators, 5-1.

How It Happened
- Allegheny started the scoring off, finding the goal in the sixth minute, to grab a 1-0 lead over the Mounties.
- Hinton was able to knot the score at one, in the 32nd minute, on a shot from close range. The goal was her fourth of the season.
- The Gators scored again, less than five minutes after Hinton's marker, giving them a 2-1 lead. Neither team scored again in the first half, sending the game to halftime with the 2-1 score.
- In the second half, Allegheny scored three unanswered goals, giving them a 5-1 victory. They outshot the Mounties, 10-4, in the second half.

- The Gators had identical shot advantages in each half, resulting in a 20-8 advantage for the game. They had a 12-5 advantage in shots on goal, over the Mounties.
- Allegheny also had two more corner kicks than the Mounties, giving them extra set piece chances.

- Mount Aloysius will return home to open up AMCC play, when they host Penn State Behrend, on Saturday.
- Penn State Behrend is 1-7-1 on the season, after falling 2-1 to John Carroll, on Wednesday.
