Mounties Get Roughed Up by Warriors

CRESSON, Pa. -- On Saturday, the Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer team hosted their first home game of the season, against Lycoming, at the Ray & Louise Walker Athletic Complex. The Warriors got ahead early and downed the Mounties, 4-0.

Leaders
- Goalkeeper, Courtney Vought (Somerset, Pa. / Somerset), led the Mounties with a game-high, 13 saves.
- Four different Mounties registered a shot, with Jasmine Hinton (Huntingtown, Md. / Huntingtown) and Jordan Mason (Hagerstown, Md. / St. Maria Goretti) landing shots on goal.

How It Happened
- Lycoming jumped ahead quickly, as they tallied the first two shots of the game, both by Bella Green. She scored on her second attempt, coming on a one-on-one opportunity and putting the Warriors up, 1-0.
- In the eighth minute, the Warriors put another goal in, making the lead 2-0. Vought would make three more saves in the half. The Mounties did not attempt their first shot until the 30th minute. Mason put a shot on goal in the 34th minute, but it was saved by the Lycoming 'keeper.
- The Warriors added a third goal in the 60th minute and a fourth goal in the 72nd minute, pushing their lead to 4-0. Mount Aloysius got two shots in the final five minutes, but could not find the back of the net, leading to the final score of 4-0, Lycoming.

- Lycoming held a significant advantage in shots, as they took 22 total shots with 17 being on frame, while the Mounties only had four total shots.
- The Warriors also had nine corner kicks compared to two Mountie chances.
