Men's Basketball Falls at Alfred State

ALFRED, N.Y. -- On Saturday, the Mount Aloysius Men's Basketball team traveled to Alfred State to take on the Pioneers in an AMCC matchup. The Mounties struggled from field on their way to a 78-55 loss.

Leaders
- Ebone Junior (Silver Spring, Md. / Paint Branch) led the Mounties with 13 points on 5-for-12 shooting.
- Sophomore Will Hagwood (Willowick, Ohio / South) grabbed a game-high, 13 rebounds, while adding 10 points.
- Alphonso Morrow (Baltimore, Md. / Parkville) scored 12 points off the bench.

How It Happened
- Mount Aloysius limped to the locker room after shooting paltry 27.3% from the field and going 0-9 from behind the arc. The Pioneers forced double-digit Mountie turnovers, as well, leading 31-21 at the break.
- To begin the second half, Alfred State scored the first 15 of the period and put the Mounties down by as many as 36 (69-33) in the game. The Mounties fought to make the final respectable, cutting the lead to 23 before falling, 78-55.

Into the Box Score
- Despite their shooting woes, the Mounties also committed 27 turnovers in the game, compared to only 11 by the Pioneers.
- Mount Aloysius did hold a significant edge in rebounding, grabbing 21 more rebounds than the hosts. The final rebound tally was 59-38.
