Cresson, Pa. -- Mountie soccer saw close scorelines in Tuesday's split with visiting Pitt-Greensburg. 

Women's Game

How It Happened:

- The first half saw even play from both sides, with the Mounties and the Bobcats each shooting three times across the scoreless 45 minutes. 
- Both team's saw shots on goal inside twenty minutes, with Katie Figinski (Abingdon, MD, Edgewood) 16th minute attempt being saved, before goalkeeper Madison Cabell (Altoona, Pa., Altoona) would save the Bobcat response five minutes later. 
- Strong defense from both sides would persist through the half, as both sides struggled to find attempts on goal. 
- The second half opened with the Mounties quickly falling behind, as Pitt-Greensburg would find the back of the net just five minutes in to the half. 
- The offensive onslaught from the Bobcats continued from there, with Mount Aloysius struggling to put together attempts at their opponent's half. 
- An 80th minute Pitt-Greensburg goal would put the Mounties down two with just ten minutes to play. 
- An 82nd minute shot would be the Mountie women's final of the game, with the Natalie Despot (Hollidaysburg, Pa., Hollidaysburg) attempt sailing high, and Mount Aloysius falling to the Bobcats 0-2.

- Mount Aloysius was heavily outshot in the second half, recording two attempts to the Bobcats' seventeen. 
- Cabell recorded seven saves for the Mounties in goal. 
- Both teams stayed close on foul counts, with Mount Aloysius recording ten to their opponents' thirteen. 

Men's Game

How It Happened:

- Similar to the women's game, the men's first half was a slower affair, with limited shot attempts as both teams tested out their opponent's defense. 
- Mount Aloysius would make first moves in the 14th minute, with the Daniel Irujo (Pamplona, Spain, Sagrado Corazon) on target attempt saved by Pitt-Greensburg's goalie. 
- Goalkeeper Luke Priestley (Edlesborough, England, Aylesbury Grammar School) would record his only save of the contest ten minutes later, rendering the Bobcats' sole attempt of the half unsuccessful. 
- Tied scoreless going into the second half, it would be Pitt-Greensburg who would find the goal first, scoring off a penalty kick in the 67th minute of the contest. 
- The Mounties refocused and began solidifying their offense pressure, with a 79th minute corner kick setting up Luke Traynor (London, England, Woodhouse College) for the game-leveling goal. 
- Unsatisfied with a tie, Mount Aloysius continued their forward pressure, forcing action into their opponent's goal box until a Bobcat foul would give up the penalty kick opportunity. 
- Gonzalo Terricabris (Catalonia, Spain, Garbi Pere Verges) would convert the PK in the 82nd minute, giving the Mounties the 2-1 lead they would hold for the remaining time. 

Into The Box Score:

- Mount Aloysius once again outshot their opponents, recording eight more attempts than the Bobcats. 
- The Mounties' offensive pressure compared to Pitt-Greensburg can be seen in corner kick totals, with Mount Aloysius recording seven to their opponent's zero.
