Cresson, Pa. -- Mountie soccer saw a men's team victory and a women's team loss on Wednesday, October 4th against conference opponent La Roche. 

Women's Game

How It Happened:
- Opening with some action in the first eight minutes that saw La Roche earn a shot attempt and two corner kicks, the game settled into a slow pace, with both teams struggling to find legitimate offensive opportunities. 
- Junior Grace O'Berry (Boonsboro, MD, Boonsboro) earned the Mounties first shot attempt on goal, one of just three combined attempts from both teams. 
- The second half started slowly once again, although the Mounties were able to put a shot on goal off a 52nd minute corner.
- A misplayed bounce would earn the only goal of the game, with La Roche finding the back of the net in the 60th minute. 
- La Roche maintained offensive position for the rest of the game, although struggled to keep shot attempts on goal. 
- With Mount Aloysius unable to generate any shot attempts for the rest of the half, the contest would end in a 1-0 La Roche victory. 

Into The Box Score
- La Roche earned seven shot attempts in the game, while the Mounties tallied just two. 
- Both teams played clean game, with both only recording five fouls in the game. 
- Goalkeeper Madison Cabell (Altoona, Pa., Altoona) recorded three saves across the match. 

Men's Game

How It Happened: 
- The Mount Aloysius men's team opened with an onslaught of aggression, breaking through the La Roche defense with four shot attempts in the first ten minutes, all of which were saved by the Redhawks' goalkeeper.
- The 28th minute contained a similar run for the Mounties, recording five shots in under two minutes, none of which were able to find the back of the net. 
- Despite comfortably keeping the ball in the La Roche defensive end, the Mounties found the half closing at 0-0. 
- The second half opened rough for Mount Aloysius, with La Roche scoring inside the first minute of action. 
- Louis Bez (Bordeaux, France, Lycée Sainte-Marie de la Bastide) wasted no time answering for the Mounties, putting one in just thirty seconds after La Roche opened scoring. 
- The game continued on similar to the first, with Mount Aloysius putting non-stop pressure on the La Roche defense and goalie, but with much better returns. 
- Sean Barrant (Portmore, Jamaica, Jonathan Grant) and Bez would combine to assist or score on the next three Mountie goals, with Enoch Wiredu (Harford County, Maryland, Harford Technical) and Tanner Polcyn (Watsontown, Pa., Warrior Run) each scoring to put the Mounties up 4-1 with under thirty minutes left to play. 
- A 79th minute penalty kick would give the Mounties a chance to widen their lead, with Gonzalo Terricabris (Catalonia, Spain, Garbi Pere Verges) making good on the opportunity to put Mount Aloysius up 5-1.
- This would mark the final goal of the contest, giving Mount Aloysius men's soccer the win over the Redhawks. 

Into The Box Score:
- The Mounties once again found the overwhelming shot advantage over their opponents, tallying twenty-nine attempts to La Roche's three. 
- La Roche's goalkeeper was under consistent pressure, earning fifteen saves across the game.
