CRESSON, Pa. -- On Wednesday, the Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer played host to the University of Mary Washington in a non-conference matchup. The visitors left Cresson with a 2-0 victory.

How It Happened
- Mary Washington controlled the game from the start, registering the first six shots of the contest. The sixth shot came in the 24th minute and found the back of the net, giving the Eagles a 1-0 lead.
- Vought would make three saves over the rest of the first period. Thomas placed her shot on goal, in the 36th minute, and the Eagle 'keeper made an impressive save to keep the shutout going.
- In the second half, O'Berry made the first real scoring attempt on a shot that was saved, keeping the score at 1-0. The Mountie defense saw a lot of action in the period, but continued to frustrate the Eagles' attack. However, in the 79th minute, Mary Washington scored on a header that came from a corner kick, giving them a 2-0 advantage with just over 10 minutes remaining.

Jordan Mason (Hagerstown, Md. / St. Maria Goretti) tallied a shot, just over a minute later, the Mounties were limited with scoring chances and fell, 2-0.

- Mary Washington held a significant advantage in the shot department. They outshot the Mounties by eight in both halves, tallying 19 total, compared to just three Mountie attempts.
- The Eagles also registered all six corner kick opportunities in the game, which led to one of their goals.
