Mounties Defeated By Warriors

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Mount Aloysius women's soccer struggled against the Lycoming Warrior's offense in Wednesday's game, falling to their hosts 7-1.

Leaders
- Natalie Despot (Hollidaysburg, Pa., Hollidaysburg) scored Mount Aloysius's lone goal, assisted by Jordan Mason (Hagerstown, MD, St. Maria Goretti), who also recorded three shot attempts. 
- Goalkeeper Courtney Vought (Somerset, PA, Somerset) recorded 10 saves across the match. 

How It Happened
- Lycoming jumped out to an aggressive and early start, putting in two goals back-to-back just seven minutes into the contest. 
- Six Lycoming shot attempts populated the next twenty minutes of game action, answered with a sole Mason shot attempt in the 30th minute. 
- The Warriors answered this attempt with a goal, their last of the half, heading into the second with a strong 3-0 lead. 
- The second half opened well for the Mounties, with Despot scoring within the first two minutes. 
- Answered by their hosts within a minute of the goal, the Mounties would struggle defensively for the rest of the contest, ending the game at 7-1 amid a flurry of Lycoming shot attempts.
