BRADFORD, Pa. -- On Saturday, the Mount Aloysius Women's Volleyball team returned to action, as they traveled to Pitt-Bradford for an AMCC matchup against the Panthers. After splitting the first two sets, the Mounties (11-11, 3-1 AMCC) finished off the Panthers (3-16, 0-3 AMCC) in four sets.
Mount Aloysius jumped ahead quick in the first set, 8-4, and stretched that into a 19-10 lead. While Pitt-Bradford would actually outscore the Mounties, 10-6, it would be too late and the Mounties took a 1-0 lead with a 25-20 first set victory.
Pitt-Bradford then evened the match at one, winning the second set 25-18 and leading wire to wire. It was the Mounties' worst hitting set of the night, as they had ten kills and nine errors.
The Mounties then dominated the third and fourth sets. They used a big run in both sets to take advantage, including a 10-0 run to start the fourth set. The combination of the two resulted in a fairly convincing win for the visitors.
