LATROBE, Pa. -- The Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer traveled to Saint Vincent College, on Wednesday night. The Mounties struggled on offense and fell to the hosts, 5-1.
Mount Aloysius falls to a record of 0-3-1 after a tough loss. while the Bearcats improved to 4-1-0 on the season.
After finding themselves in a 1-1 game through 30 minutes of play, The Mounties would struggle to find consistent offensive pressure, as they were stuck in the defensive end for most of the contest. Saint Vincent was able to put up a strong performance offensively putting up 27 shots where the Mounties only had six.
Mounties' Senior Forward,
Grace O'Berry (Boonsboro, Md. / Boonsboro), found herself three shots in the game, putting two of them on net and scoring one. Freshman Goalkeeper,
McKenna Meadows (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg), also put up 13 saves in the ninety minutes of play, her career-high.
The Mounties will get back on the pitch, Saturday, at home against Ursinus College. The Bears are currently 3-0-1 on the season. The game will be played at 1:00 PM. The Mounties look to pick up some momentum at home before heading back on the road.
