Alfred, NY - The Mount Aloysius women's volleyball team stayed hot to begin AMCC play, earning a 3-1 road win over Alfred State (25–13, 25–20, 27–29, 25–18) on Saturday afternoon. The Mounties improved to 14-6 overall and 2-0 in the AMCC.

Richards tallied 18 kills, 19 digs, and four aces while also reaching two major career milestones — she eclipsed 100 career aces and moved into second all-time in program history in kills (1,341), sitting behind current Head Coach Brianna Baker.
Offensively, Poliana Lazarini (Marialva, Brazil / Garrido) added 13 kills and 10 digs, while Mackenzie Barr recorded 11 kills and a team-high 5 blocks. Wilson (22 assists) and Cummings (14 assists) paced the offense, and libero Madison Barr (Pittsburgh, Pa., Shaler) anchored the defense with 18 digs.
As a team, the Mounties hit .219 compared to Alfred State's .086, and they led in nearly every statistical category; kills (50–41), assists (42–36), digs (64–59), and blocks (9–6).
