Cresson, PA -
October 27, 2025 - The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's soccer and women's volleyball for the period running from October 20-26, 2025.
On the women's side, it was
Molly Richards (Naples, Fla., Naples) claiming Offensive Player of the Week for the fifth time this season. Richards won the award four weeks in a row (Sept. 8 - Sept. 29). The senior collected 32 points in two Mountie wins this past week. She recorded two double-doubles, including an 11 kill-14 dig performance in a 3-0 sweep of La Roche and followed that up with 16 kills and 11 digs in another 3-0 sweep, this time over Pitt-Bradford on Senior Day. For the week, Richards had 27 kills (4.50 kills per set) and 25 digs (4.17 digs per set), to go along with five service aces and 5.3 points per set.
Volleyball has two weeks left in the regular season as they sit undefeated in AMCC play (17-6, 5-0 AMCC). With three games left, the Mounties have a real shot at the #1 seed and hosting the AMCC Tournament.
On the men's side, it was
Hippolyte Delhaes (Bayonne, France, Lycee Saint-Louis VIlla Pia) taking home the men's soccer Defensive Player of the Week award. Delhaes led a backline that allowed just one goal in two games, and also had an assist in a 6-1 over Pitt-Bradford. The Mounties started the week off with a 0-0 tied against La Roche, holding the Redhawks scoreless and only allowing one shot on goal. The Mounties followed that up with the 6-1 win over Bradford, ending the week with a 1-0-1 record and only allowing one goal in two games.
Men's soccer will conclude the regular season tomorrow as they host the current 5th-place Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats at 7 PM. Both teams are fighting for seeding come playoff time next week. The Mounties cannot receive the #1 or #2 seed, but they are currently 3rd in the AMCC and have a real chance on hosting yet another home playoff game. Men's soccer will know their seed for the postseason after the matches finish up tomorrow night.
