Greensburg, Pa. — The Mount Aloysius Mounties (18-6, 6-0 AMCC) continued their outstanding season Wednesday night, sweeping Pitt.-Greensburg (2-22, 0-6 AMCC) in straight sets (25-6, 25-20, 25-14) at Chambers Hall. The win ties the Mounties' program record for most victories in a single season.

Mount Aloysius came out firing in the opening set, hitting .333 as they cruised to a dominant 25-6 start. The Mounties maintained control throughout the match, showcasing balanced play both offensively and defensively.

Molly Richards (Naples, Fla., Naples) led the attack with 13 kills and added 12 digs for a double-double, while Poliana Lazarini (Marialva, Brazil / Garrido) chipped in eight kills and 15 digs. Kaylee Smith (Altoona, Pa., Altoona) posted six kills and a team-high five blocks to anchor the front line. Setter Kiersten Cummings (Las Vegas, Nev, Nevada State) tallied 18 assists and four aces, and Reghyn Wilson (Harrisburg, Pa., Bishop McDevitt) contributed 13 assists of her own. Madison Barr (Pittsburgh, Pa., Shaler) and Lazarini each recorded 15 digs to pace the Mountie defense.

As a team, Mount Aloysius hit .204 and held Pitt.-Greensburg to a -.052 hitting percentage, finishing with advantages in kills (39–16), aces (9–4), and blocks (7–2).

With the victory, the Mounties remain unbeaten in conference play and match the program's single-season win record. They'll look to break that record in their next outing as they continue their push toward the AMCC postseason.
