Mounties Dominate Hawks in 74-49 Victory

Box Score

CRESSON, Pa. — Mount Aloysius controlled the game from start to finish on Saturday afternoon, rolling to a 74–49 home victory over Hilbert in AMCC play. The Mounties established the tempo early, built an immediate cushion, and never allowed the visitors to generate momentum, leading wire-to-wire with zero lead changes.

Molly Kosmack (Homer City, Pa., Homer-Center) powered the Mounties' offense with a 20-point performance, attacking consistently and setting the tone. Mackenzie Barr (Pittsburgh, Pa., Shaler) added 14 points with steady scoring throughout the afternoon, while Masie Reed (Shamokin, Pa., Our Lady of Lourdes) contributed 9 points to help maintain control. Brionna Brown (Cranberry Township, Pa., Seneca Valley) and Haley Ross (Three Springs, Pa., Southern Huntingdon) each finished with 7, giving the Mounties reliable depth and energy across the rotation.

Defensively, Mount Aloysius dictated the rhythm just as effectively. The Mounties disrupted passing lanes, forced tough shots, and limited second-chance opportunities, keeping Hilbert from mounting any meaningful push. Their defensive effort paired with balanced scoring allowed the lead to grow steadily as the game progressed.

With the win, Mount Aloysius improves to 3–4 overall and 2–0 in the AMCC, marking a strong early-season conference start. The Mounties will return to action on December 29, traveling to Allegheny for a 3 p.m. matchup as they look to carry this momentum into the next phase of their schedule.
