NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. -- On Tuesday, the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference released their annual postseason awards for Men's Volleyball. For the first time in school history, Mount Aloysius had a member of the All-Conference teams, as both
Matthew Franz (Johnstown, Ohio / Bishop Hartley) and
Andrew Wlodarczyk (East Aurora, N.Y. / East Aurora) were selected. Franz was picked on the First Team and Wlodarczyk on the Second Team.
Franz became the only player in Mountie history to be named to the First Team. The 2025 season saw the senior finish second in the AMCC with 284 total kills and third with 3.16 kills per set. Franz also had the ninth best hitting percentage, pairing that with the fourth-most attack attempts. He also was one of the best Service players in the conference, ranking second in total service aces and third in aces per set.
Wlodarczyk joined Franz on the All-Conference teams, as he was named to the Second Team. He has been a staple in the Mountie lineup for the last four years, culminating with an All-Conference nod. Wlodarczyk finished closely behind Franz in fourth place in the AMCC, in both total kills and kills per set, while ranking third overall in total attack attempts. He was also ranked seventh in the AMCC with a .206 hitting percentage, showcasing his efficiency.
In addition to the first All-Conference members in program history, the Mounties also qualified for the AMCC Postseason Tournament for the first time in 2025. They were the fourth place team, ultimately falling to Buffalo State in the semifinal round.
Mount Aloysius finished the season 9-17 overall, tying the program record for wins in a season, during Coach Jillian Glover's first season. They will look to continue the upward trajectory of the program in 2026, which just completed its fourth full season.
