Cook and DeRubeis Selected to All-Region Teams

CRESSON, Pa. -- On Tuesday, both of the ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball.com released their annual All-Region teams. They are the organizations that annually recognize Division III baseball across the country. As part of their releases, Brandon Cook (Glen Burnie, Md. / St. Mary's) made the list for both organizations, while Joey DeRubeis (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona) was selected by D3baseball.com, representing Mount Aloysius.

Cook was honored on the ABCA/Rawlings Second Team and the D3baseball.com Third Team, as an outfielder. This marks the second time he was honored as All-Region by D3baseball.com, after earning Second Team All-Mid Atlantic Region in 2021. Cook had a great 2025 campaign, which culminated in a First Team All-AMCC selection, earlier this month. He led the AMCC with ten home runs and ranked sixth with 36 RBIs. Cook was also in the AMCC top five with 92 total bases and a .648 slugging percentage. His 12 home runs as a Mountie, rank him fourth in program history, despite playing just two years in Cresson.

DeRubeis earned a Second Team All-Region selection from D3baseball.com, while finishing tied for 18th nationally with seven saves. This is DeRubeis' first All-Region selection. His seven saves tied a program record and finished just one behind Alma's Ken Fistler, who held the highest total in Region 7. DeRubeis made 12 appearances in 2025, tossing 13.1 innings and carrying a 2.02 ERA. He also struck out 15 batters, giving him a 10.13 K/9 ratio. The converted catcher registered nine career saves, which ranks third in program history.

2025 is the first time since 2016 that multiple Mount Aloysius players were named All-Region in the same season. In 2016, both Connor Bowie and Ben Legath were selected.

The 2025 season marks the 13th season that D3baseball.com has named All-Region teams, with more than 1,000 players nominated. The ballot was then made available to D3baseball.com staff and contributors from which three teams in each region were determined.
