CRESSON, Pa. -- The Mount Aloysius College Athletic Department is excited to announce the elevation of
Michelle Ross to Head Softball Coach.
"Michelle has been a very loyal and committed employee of Mount Aloysius College for over two decades now. She loves all sports but her passion has always been the game of softball." Athletic Director Kevin Kime said, "I am excited that she will be taking over the team and am confident that she will fully dedicate herself to the program and players."
No stranger to Mountie softball, Ross previously acted as interim Head Coach for the program in the 2024 season, leading the Mounties to a 20-15 record, finishing with an AMCC championship game appearance in the conference postseason tournament.
"I believe in the philosophy and the values of this college. I have the time and devotion to put towards coaching, my passion… I look forward to helping these young women develop not only into good softball players, but good human beings as well." Ross said of her new position.
A fixture of the Mount Aloysius Athletic Department, Ross began her coaching career as an assistant for Mountie softball from 2006-2009, also acting as the Athletics Coordinator for the college since 2002. The Williamsburg native has more than thirty years of softball experience as a player, competing for travel teams across Pennsylvania and Colorado.
Ross holds a Bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis on Sports Management, graduating from Mount Aloysius in 2016.
