CRESSON, Pa. -- On Tuesday, the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) released their annual Women's Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll, ahead of the 2025 season. The Mount Aloysius Women's Volleyball team was picked to finish fourth by the league's coaches, the same spot they finished last season.

Penn State Behrend was picked to win their first AMCC title since 2021, followed by last season's champion, Penn State Altoona. Alfred State rounded out the top three, just ahead of the Mounties. Penn State Behrend's Cadence Jones was named the Preseason Player of the Year.

As part of the release, senior Molly Richards (Naples, Fla. / Naples) and junior Mackenzie Barr (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Shaler) were both named as Players to Watch. Richards has been named all-conference three consecutive years, including another First Team selection in 2024. Barr was also named First Team in 2024, as a sophomore. Both Barr and Richards ranked in the top five for the AMCC in total kills, last season.

Mount Aloysius will look to climb the conference ranks in 2025, as they return six players who played in at least 25 matches. They also welcome 13 newcomers who will try to make an immediate impact.

The Mounties are scheduled to open their season, on Friday, when they travel to New Jersey for four games. They will play a tri-match at Montclair State on Friday before heading to Kean for another tri-match on Saturday. There are also eight home games on the calendar for Mount Aloysius, starting with September 6 when they host RIT and Waynesburg.

Other home dates to note are the annual Pink Out game on October 7 against Penn State Altoona and October 25 against Pitt-Bradford which will be Senior Day. October 7 is also the first AMCC match of the season.
