CRESSON, Pa. (Sept. 10) – The Mount Aloysius women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Saint Vincent on Tuesday night at Kelly Field after a second-half penalty kick lifted the Bearcats to victory.
The game remained scoreless through halftime, with the Mounties (0-3-2) struggling to generate offense against a Saint Vincent defense that allowed just four shots. The Bearcats (4-1-0) controlled possession throughout and outshot Mount Aloysius 19-4.
Saint Vincent broke through in the 77th minute when a penalty kick found the back of the net for the game's lone goal.
Goalkeeper McKenna Meadows (Lewisburg, PA, Lewisburg) kept the Mounties within reach, recording six saves and conceding just the single penalty score.
