CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. ---- Mount Aloysius picked up its first win of the season on the road Saturday afternoon, defeating Wilson College 2-0 in non-conference action.

Jordan Bailey (Crofton, Md., South River)Â opened the scoring in the 41st minute with an unassisted goal, giving the Mounties (1-3-2) a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. Despite a back-and-forth second half, Mount Aloysius held firm defensively before sealing the win in the 85th minute.Â
Brooke Thomas (Altoona, Pa., Altoona) converted a penalty kick to secure the two-goal cushion.

The Mounties controlled much of the game offensively, outshooting the Phoenix (2-3-1) by a 12-4 margin. The back line and midfield held strong throughout the match, limiting Wilson's chances and helping preserve the clean sheet.
