Box Score MONT ALTO, Pa. — The Mount Aloysius women's volleyball team bounced back in strong fashion on Saturday afternoon, sweeping Penn State Mont Alto on the road in straight sets (25-22, 25-22, 25-12).
Looking to respond after a tough loss to nationally ranked #25 Carnegie Mellon, the Mounties showed poise and energy from the start. After grinding out close wins in the opening two sets, Mount Aloysius closed the match in dominant fashion with a commanding third-set victory.
Molly Richards (Naples, Fla., Naples) once again led the way offensively, posting a match-high 21 kills to go along with 17 digs for a double-double. Reghyn Wilson (Harrisburg, Pa., Bishop McDevitt) kept the offense moving with a team-best 26 assists, helping the Mounties maintain control throughout the match.
With the win, Mount Aloysius improves to 11-6 overall, continuing to showcase their depth and balanced attack as conference play approaches.
