Cresson, PA - September 29, 2025 - The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's soccer, cross country, women's volleyball, and women's tennis for the period running from September 22-28, 2025.

For women's volleyball, Senior OH Molly Richards (Naples, Fla., Naples) has once again been recognized as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Offensive Player of the Week, earning the honor for the fourth consecutive week. This remarkable streak showcases Richards' consistent dominance and all-around impact, firmly establishing her as one of the top performers in the conference and beyond. Richards currently sits 3rd in all of Division III in total kills (250) and kills per set (4.90). 

Richards helped lead the Mounties to a 2-1 record during the week of September 22–28, with the team's only setback coming against nationally ranked No. 25 Carnegie Mellon. Offensively this week, she was nearly unstoppable, producing 52 kills (5.78 per set) on an efficient .298 hitting percentage. She also tallied three service aces and averaged 6.1 points per set, proving to be a constant source of scoring for the Mounties. On the defensive side, Richards was just as impactful, recording 54 digs (6.0 per set) across the three matches while maintaining a strong .921 serve-receive percentage on 41 attempts.

The Mounties (11-6) will finish up non-conference play this week with a JV match-up vs Penn Highlands on Wednesday and @ Hood College on Friday. Mount will begin AMCC play next Tuesday as they'll host Penn State Altoona (6-8) in the ACWC at 7 PM. The game will be a pink out, SO WEAR PINK!
