CRESSON, Pa. - The Mount Aloysius women's soccer team faced off against the Penn College Wildcats on Wednesday night under the lights at Kelly Field as the game would finish in a 0-0 tie.
The Mounties (0-1-2) were limited offensively, recording only three shots on goal, but they leaned on their defense to earn the result. The Wildcats (2-0-1) controlled much of the tempo and tallied 17 total shots, including 12 on target.
Goalkeeper
McKenna Meadows (Lewisburg, PA, Lewisburg) anchored the Mount Aloysius back line with a standout effort, making 12 saves to post her first shutout of the season. The Mounties also saw strong contributions from their defensive unit, which turned away several dangerous scoring chances and kept Penn College from breaking through late.
Although the Mounties were unable to capitalize on their limited opportunities in the attacking third, the performance marked a step forward for a team still seeking its first win of the season.
