The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's soccer, cross country, women's volleyball, and women's tennis for the period running from September 2-7, 2025.

Molly Richards (Naples, Fla., Naples) led the Mounties to a 2-0 record on the week. Richards led the team in kills in both contests with 15 kills in each match, averaging 5.0 kills per set. She recorded 30 kills on the week, while also swinging at a .377 clip. She added three service aces and 17 digs (2.83 digs per set), earning AMCC Offensive Player of the Week.

Poliana Lazarini (Marialva, Brazil / Garrido) received AMCC Defensive Player of the Week honors, as she helped Mount Aloysius go undefeated this past week. Lazarini showed consistency in both sets, averaging 14 digs per match and only committing one receiving error as the Mounties went 2-0 with wins over RIT and Waynesburg. Lazarini recorded 13 digs against RIT and added 15 against Waynesburg with a 4.67 dig per set average on the week. 

With Richards and Lazarini both being named Player of the Week, it's now back-to-back weeks where a Mountie sport received both awards (Men's Soccer).

Volleyball (3-3) will hit the road for their first true road game as they travel to Williamsport, PA for a matchup with Lycoming College tomorrow evening. The match will begin at 6 PM.
