CRESSON, Pa. — Mount Aloysius put together an efficient second-half offensive performance, but an explosive shooting night from Pitt.-Greensburg proved too much in a 102-77 AMCC setback Wednesday night at the Athletic Convocation & Wellness Center.

The Mounties trailed 45-31 at halftime before responding with 46 second-half points, shooting 60% from the field and 70% from 3-point range after the break. Mount Aloysius cut into the deficit early in the second half, but Pitt.-Greensburg answered with timely perimeter shooting to keep control.

Fin Hutchison (Murrysville, Pa., Franklin Regional) and Brandon Waters (Clear Brook, Va., James Wood) led Mount Aloysius with 12 points apiece. Hutchison scored efficiently in the paint, while Waters knocked down three 3-pointers off the bench. D'Myah Carr (Johnstown, Pa., Greater Johnstown) added 10 points, and Troy Tinch (Baltimore, Md., Calvert Hall) chipped in 10 on 4-of-5 shooting.

Mount Aloysius finished the game shooting 50% overall and 47.4% from beyond the arc, while also converting 16 of 19 free throws. The Mounties held a 34-28 edge in bench points and outscored Pitt.-Greensburg from the foul line by eight.

Pitt.-Greensburg shot 60% from the field and connected on 16 3-pointers, accounting for much of the difference. The visitors also totaled 27 assists and scored 25 points off turnovers.

Despite the loss, Mount Aloysius showed offensive balance and resilience in the second half, improving ball movement and perimeter efficiency after halftime.

Mount Aloysius moved to 2-17 overall and 0-10 in AMCC play.
