Playoff Implications Loom in Regular-Season Finale
With just one match remaining in the regular season, Mount Aloysius finds itself in a tightly contested race for positioning in the upcoming AMCC Tournament.
The Mounties currently sit at 5-8 in conference play, tied with Hilbert College for fifth place in the standings. Although the Hawks hold the head-to-head tiebreaker after defeating Mount Aloysius in both regular-season meetings, the Mounties possess the tiebreaker over La Roche University, which currently sits at 6-7 in conference action.
With several teams separated by just one match in the standings, Saturday's regular-season finale could have significant implications for the Mounties' postseason future. A victory would officially clinch a berth in the AMCC Tournament and could potentially move Mount Aloysius as high as the No. 4 seed, depending on the results of other conference matchups.
Mount Aloysius will return home on Saturday, November 7, to host Carlow University (0-22, 0-13 AMCC) for Senior Day inside the Athletic, Convocation and Wellness Center (ACWC). The Mounties will look to close out the regular season on a high note, honor their senior class, and secure a higher seed in the conference tournament.
