Cresson, PA -
April 28, 2026 - On Tuesday, the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced it's all-conference teams for women's lacrosse.
The Mounties continued its upward trajectory during the 2026 season, highlighted by a program-record six selections to the AMCC conference teams, marking a milestone year for the Mounties under head coach Courtney Vought.
2025 Offensive Player of the Year and 2026 Offensive Preseason Player of the Year Senior Cassidy Cook led the group as the lone First Team All-Conference selection, anchoring the Mounties' attack and establishing herself as one of the league's most consistent offensive threats (35 goals, 7 assists). Cook's 35 goals finished tied for the fourth most in the AMCC and her leadership and production set the tone for a Mount Aloysius team that continued to find its identity in key moments throughout the season.
Five additional Mounties earned Second Team All-Conference honors, reflecting both depth and balance across the roster. Junior defender Sara Borlie (38 ground balls, 24 caused turnovers) and senior defender Maggie Cason (32 ground balls, 21 caused turnovers) were instrumental in stabilizing the defensive unit, providing toughness and consistency in the back end. Senior midfielder Shelby Smeal (60 ground balls, 36 caused turnovers - both fourth best in AMCC) delivered a strong all-around campaign, contributing in transition and as a two-way presence across the field. On the offensive side, junior Brenna Dobson (10 goals, 11 assists) added timely scoring, while freshman Chelsea Stout (22 goals, 9 assists) made an immediate impact in her debut season, earning AMCC Offensive Player of the Week honors in the opening week of the year and finishing as one of just five freshmen across the conference to receive All-Conference recognition.
The Mounties closed the season with a 4-8-1 overall record while securing their fourth consecutive AMCC playoff appearance, continuing a sustained run of postseason consistency. Under Vought, Mount Aloysius has reached the playoffs in each of her first two seasons, reinforcing the program's steady growth and competitiveness within the conference.
With a program-record six All-Conference selections, early-season individual accolades, and a blend of veteran leadership and emerging talent, the 2026 campaign stands as another meaningful step forward for Mount Aloysius women's lacrosse.
