Thomas came to Cresson after spending two years as the Head Coach at Penn State Fayette. In addition to his team's on-court success, the program also saw success in the classroom, producing their highest cumulative GPA in program history. Thomas was responsible for all other aspects of the program, including camps and service projects. Prior to PS-Fayette, Thomas was an Assistant Coach at Chatham University, where he helped them to a Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. While at UPG, Thomas was an all-conference player, scoring over 1,000 career points and leading the Bobcats to their first AMCC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance, in 2015-16. Thomas graduated from Pitt-Greensburg in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, before earning his Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Robert Morris University.
