Conor Woods joined the Mount Aloysius men's soccer coaching staff as a student assistant coach in August 2016.
In his first two seasons as an assistant coach, the Mounties have won a combined 31 games including a program record 16 wins during the 2017 season. The Mounties reached the conference playoffs and playoff semifinals in each of his first two seasons.
Woods played two seasons for the Mounties before his career was cut short. He appeared in 15 games in his two-year career, playing an important reserve role on the team in the Fall of 2016 while starting in two matches before his season came to an end due to a knee injury.
Woods came to Mount Aloysius from King James School in Knaresborough, England where he competed for a King James team that finished in second place in the Area Inter-School Cup in 2011-2012. He also was a member of the club Nidd United, which won the Division B league title in their first year of competition in 2010-2011 that earned the club a promotion to Division A.Â
Woods has aspirations to become a collegiate soccer coach and will assist the Mountie coaching staff in practice and game day preparation as well as video analysis.
