1711Former Mount Aloysius standout student-athlete Brianna Baker was named the head women's volleyball coach in August 2008, becoming the third head coach in the history of the Mount Aloysius volleyball program.

In her time as head coach, Baker has led the volleyball program to ten AMCC playoff berths.

Baker led the Mounties to one of the greatest seasons in school history in 2019. They won 18 games, in route to a second place finish in the AMCC standings. The 18 wins was the highest total since the Mount Aloysius volleyball program began. Baker has been named the AMCC Coach of the Year in 2018 and 2022.

Baker was a natural for the endeavor after transitioning as a Mountie student-athlete to the coaching staff. As a player, Baker played with pride, passion, and energy. She brings that same level of enthusiasm and work ethic to the coaching ranks.1711

Baker was a two-time First Team All-Conference volleyball selection for the Mounties. In 2004, she was voted "Newcomer of the Year" by the AMCC volleyball coaches. She led the AMCC in hitting percentage during her junior and senior seasons, and was also top of the conference statistics in kills per game in 2007.

In addition to being a standout volleyball player, Baker also excelled on the women's basketball team. She was named Second Team All-Conference in 2007-2008. Her two-sport prowess earned her the distinction of being recognized as Mount Aloysius' "Female Athlete of the Year" for three consecutive years. She was recently named to the Mount Aloysius College Athletics Hall of Fame inaugural Class of 2022.

Baker has also demonstrated strong commitment to academics and community service.

She was a past member of the Chi Alpha Sigma academic honor society for student-athletes, and graduated from Mount Aloysius Summa Cum Laude with a degree in elementary education.

Baker has been instrumental in organizing a number of student-athlete community service projects, and has participated in several missionary trips to Honduras.

She currently holds the positions of Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator in addition to her duties with Women's Volleyball.
