Steubenville, OH- The Mount Aloysius Volleyball team remained undefeated in AMCC play as they defeated Franciscan University by a score of 3-0.
The Mounties won each game convincingly as they allowed their opponent to reach more than 20 points only once. They were very consistent in attack, as they posted a .303 hitting percentage for the match.
Machala Gibbons led the Mounties as she had 15 kills in the match while also chipping in with 11 digs.
Sarah Fisher was next as she tallied 9 kills.
Jessica Bressler and
Emma Pevarnik both had over 20 assists as Bressler finished with 22 and Pevarnik with 21. Defensively
Kylee Clawson led the way as she collected 18 digs. The Mounties were also dangerous from the service line as they collected 6 aces in the three sets.
Kylee Clawson and Pevarnik led with two a piece and Gibbons and Clawson added the final two.
The Mounties are now 13-8 with a 6-0 record in conference play. They will travel to the eastern half of the state this weekend as they will take on Clarks Summit and Cedar Cliff, both on Saturday.
