Ebensburg, PA- The Mount Aloysius Women's Team defeated Saint Vincnet College on Sunday by a score of 6-3. The win was the Mountie's 11th of the year.
The Mounties took 2 of the 3 doubles matches. The Freshmen pairing of
Chloe Love and
Payton Whysong picked up their second close win of the season, as they won their match by a score of 9-8.
Leah Stoehr and
Katelynn Arnold also picked up a win in the second pairing.
The Mounties won the top 4 singles pairings on teh day to clinch the victory. Love and Whysong won their matches in the top 2 pairings easily, while Arnold and Stoehr were able to win theirs after close second sets.
Th Mounties finished their regular season with an 11-2 record with a 6-2 record in the AMCC. This was good enough to finish in 3rd place in the conference standings. On Saturday, they will host LaRoche College for the first round of the AMCC Tournament. The match will take place at Ebensburg Tennis Center starting at 1:00 PM.
