Pittsburgh, PA - The Mount Aloysius tennis team picked up its 9th win of the season as they defeated LaRoche by a score of 8-1.

The Mounties won all three doubles matches as the top two pairings easily dispatched their opponents, winning their matches by a score of 8-1. 

They also won 5 of 6 doubles matches. Most of the matches were won by a wide margin, however the top pairing had the match of the day. Emily Goldyn was able to take the first set 6-3, but was unable to close the match as she lost the second set 1-6. She rallied in the tiebreaker, regaining momentum and winning the set by a score of 10-8. 

The Mounties record is 9-2 with a 6-2 record in AMCC conference play. They have clinched the 3rd seed in the AMCC tournament, which will begin the weekend of October 20th. Next weekend, the Mounties will play two non-conference matches as they will travel to Lycoming on Friday and host Saint Vincent on Sunday.
