Cresson, PA- The Mount Aloysius Women's basketball team lost its final game before the holiday break, as they fell to Chatham by a final score of 70-52.

Rachel Robinson (Leola, PA/Conestoga Valley) got things started with a mid-range jumper, however Chatham was able to respond in a big way as they went on a 20-2 run over the next 6 minutes of play to build a 16 point lead. The teams would exchange baskets over the last two minutes as the Mounties cut the lead to 5 after a Machala Gibbons (Cairnbrook, PA/Bishop McCort) three point play, however Chatham hit a three in the final minute and a layup with two seconds remaining to extend the lead back to 16. Chatham would continue their hot shooting in the second period, as they hit 4 threes early to extend the lead to 28. Breana Kendrick (Broad Top City, PA/Tussey Mountain) went on a personal 7-2 run over 1:37 span to cut the lead to 20 before the halftime break.

Kendrick kept a hot hand in the third, as she scored 10 of the Mounties 12 points in the period. While Kendrick kept the Mounties going offensively, they used a strong defensive effort to contain Chatham to 13 points in the period. Mount Aloysius won the 4th quarter as they used 2 early jumpers from Marissa Bruckner (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) and 6 points from Kendrick on a three pointer and an old fashioned three point play. They finished the final period on a 9-0 run.
