Cresson, PA- The Mount Aloysius Women's Volleyball team won its first game at home on Tuesday, as they defeated Lancaster Bible College 3-0.
The Mounties won all three games comfortably with scores of 25-19, 25-17 and 25-13. The Mounties hit .327 for the match which was their highest hit percentage performance of the young season. Mount Aloysius got stronger as the game went on, improving on their hitting percentage in each game, closing with a 3rd set in which they converted 44.1% of their attacks.
Senior Middle Hitter
Sarah Fisher led the way for the Mounties, finishing with 14 kills, a .435 hitting percentage and 3 blocks.
Machala Gibbons also had double digit kills, finishing the match with 10.
Jessica Bressler had a strong all around game. She compiled 5 kills, 24 assists, 2 service aces, and 3 digs. Finally, Libero
Kylee Clawson led Mount Aloysius defensively, finishing the game with 21 digs.
The Mounties (2-5) will hit the court again on Thursday, as they host Hood College at 7:00 PM in the ACWC.
