Erie, PA- The Mount Aloysius Women's Tennis team stayed undefeated on Saturday, as they defeated Penn State Behrend by a score of 8-1.
The Mounties swept doubles play as they won 24 out of 28 points earned in the three matches. The second pairing of
Payton Whysong and
Leah Stoehr had the most dominating performance, as they shut out their opponents 8 games to 0.
Mount Aloysius took the top 5 singles pairings with
Goldyn winning a close match in straight sets 6-3, 7-5. While Whysong again shutout her opponent 6-0, 6-0.
The Mounties are in a tie atop the conference standings with their 7-0 overall and 5-0 AMCC record. They will face their toughest test yet on Saturday,as they will take on Franciscan University. Franciscan is also undefeated both in and out of conference and have won the past two conference championships.
