Ebensburg, PA- The Mount Aloysius Women's Tennis team tasted defeat for the first time this year as they fell to reigning AMCC Champions Franciscan University, by a score of 9-0.

Emily Goldyn and Chloe Love played a hard fought match at the top doubles pairing, but were unable to prevail against Franciscans top pairing. The closest singles matches were at the number 3 and 4 matches. Leah Stoehr was able to muster 3 games won per set and Katelynn Arnold lost 6-4, 6-3.

The Mounties will return to the courts next weekend when they play a non-conference match against Waynesburg, followed by a conference tilt with Penn State Altoona
