Cresson -- The Mount Aloysius Men's Soccer team won their seventh straight game on Tuesday night, when they hosted Penn State Altoona. They came away with a 4-1 victory.
Pau Aran (Barcelona, Spain, Colegio Inglés Playa del Carmen)Â got the scoring started early in the sixth minute, when he passed the ball into
Joshua Devlin (Southend-on-Sea, England, Seevic College), inside the box, who gave a pass back to Aran. He then slid a shot past the goalkeeper, giving the Mounties a 1-0 lead.
Mount Aloysius was able to put four more shots on goal in the next 25 minutes, but Altoona was the next to mark the scoreboard. Jingwok Song scored his fourth goal of the season to tie the game at one. The shot was one of the five shots on goal for the game.
In the final minute of the first half,Â
Joshua Christie (Aberdeen, Scotland, Hazlehead Academy) was able to score his third goal of the year. The goal gave the Mounties a 2-1 lead heading into the half, a lead that they would not relinquish.

Ryan Peddle (Tauranga, New Zealand, Tauranga Boys' College) for his second goal of the year. The goal extended the Mountie lead to 3-1, with just under 15 minutes remaining.
Mount Aloysius' final goal came on the tails of a yellow card by the Lions. Devlin scored on the ensuing free kick, good for his 12th goal of the season. He is currently tied for first in the AMCC in goals scored.
WIth the victory, Mount Aloysius improved to 5-1 in AMCC play. They will play in the AMCC Game of the Week on Saturday as they travel to Buffalo, NY, to play Medaille. Mount Aloysius and Medaille currently have the two longest winning streaks in the AMCC, as the Mounties have won seven straight and the Mavericks have won five.
