Buffalo, NY -- The Mount Aloysius Men's Soccer team was defeated 3-0 on Saturday by Medaille. Medaille is currently leading the AMCC.
Medaille started the scoring early in the ninth minute and never looked back. They added on before the end of the first half, making it 2-0. Then in the final ten minutes, they picked up their third goal of the day.
Mount Aloysius was able to register five shots on goal for the day. They also earned five corner kicks, giving themselves some opportunities, but could not capitalize on any.
The loss snapped the Mounties' seven-game winning streak. They dropped to 5-2 in AMCC, putting them squarely in fourth place.
With three games left to play, Mount Aloysius has one game left against a top-three opponent, Franciscan. They meet Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday, then host Alfred State at home on Saturday, before the regular season finale, against Franciscan. All three games will contribute to the AMCC Tournament fate of the Mounties.
