Annville, PA -- The Mount Aloysius Men's Basketball team traveled to Lebanon Valley over the weekend as they competed in the Rinso Marquette Tournament. They opened up Friday night against FDU-Florham and played Lebanon Valley on Saturday afternoon, in the Championship game.
GAME 1 Highlights
- Mount Aloysius took a five-point lead into the half, thanks to aÂ
Nate Christian (Accokeek,MD, Surratsville) three pointer with two seconds left. The score at the half was 34-29.
- The Mounties stretched the lead to 12 points on two consecutive baskets by
Azim Hutson (Orlando, FL, Ocoee).
- Christian, Hutson, andÂ
Trent McErlane (Greenville, PA, Greenville) all played 20 minutes in the second half. They were half of the six Mounties who made an appearance in the game. Christian played all 40 minutes.
- Christian finished with a career-high 30 points on 10-22 shooting. He went a perfect, 4-4 from three in the game.
- Mount Aloysius shot 53.3% from three on the game (8-15).
GAME 2 Highlights
- The Mounties held the Flying Dutchmen to 38% shooting and 33% from three. However, they struggled to 24.1% overall and 21.4% from three.
- Christian led the team in scoring for the second day, as he finished with 13 points.

Julian Stover (Washington, DC, Richard Montgomery) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.
- FreshmanÂ
Jevon Griffin (Myrtle Beach, SC, Socastee) came off the bench to add his career-high of nine, in a career-high of 24 minutes.
All-Tournament Team
Nate Christian and
Julian Stover were named to the Rinso Marquette All-Tournament Team. Christian finished his weekend with 43 points and a 4-8 performance from deep. Stover added 23 points in total with five assists, between the two games.
The split at LVC moves the Mounties to 2-2 on the season.
