Greensburg, PA -- The Mount Aloysius Men's Basketball Team traveled to Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday night, to take on the Bobcats. The Bobcats improved their standing in the league to a tie for first place, with a 85-61 win over the Mounties.

Julian Stover (Washington, DC, Richard Montgomery) led all scorers with 24 points in the game, in part after going 10-11 from the free throw line.

Carlos Palacio (Bilbao, Spain, Phelps School) led the Mounties in the rebounding category with nine. He also added eight points.
- Bobcats guard JoJo France scored a team-high 23 points. Cody Spaid led the Bobcats with six assists and six rebounds, to go along with 14 points.
How it Happened
- After trading the first two baskets of the game, the Bobcats would take control for the remainder. They were able to push the lead as high as 20 in the first half (42-22), with just under a minute remaining.
- The Bobcats shot a balmy 54% from the field in the first half, compared to the 32% performance by the Mounties.
- In the second half, the Mounties showed some life. They scored the first seven points of the period, including five from Stover.Â
Azim Hutson (Orlando, FL, Ocoee) added the other basket, following a steal.
- Mount Aloysius continued to apply pressure to the Bobcat lead, as they cut the lead to eight on two separate occasions before the ten minute mark.
- With 8:06 remaining, Stover made two free throws to cut the lead to five, 54-49. Over the final eight minutes, the Bobcats would outscore the Mounties 31-12.

- Pitt-Greensburg shot 52.5% for the game, while holding the Mounties to 38.5% from the field.
- The Bobcats also shot over 40% from three, going a solid 8-19, including 4-5 in the second half.
- UPG also led the turnover battle, forcing 11 Mountie miscues, while only committing seven.

- The Mounties are scheduled to return to the court on Saturday afternoon, as they host another Pitt branch, in Pitt-Bradford. The Bobcats come in to Saturday's contest, 0-9 in the AMCC, and 1-13 overall.
- Mount Aloysius is currently 4-5 in AMCC play, with a 7-7 overall record. They are only a half-game out of a tie for fifth place.Â
