Cresson -- The Mount Aloysius Men's Basketball team hosted Penn State Behrend on Saturday afternoon in the ACWC. The game went to overtime before the men fell 66-55.

Nate Christian (Accokeek,MD, Surratsville) had a team-high 19 points for Mount Aloysius. He was 5-16 from the field, but added eight points at the free throw line.

Carlos Palacio (Bilbao, Spain, Phelps School) grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds for the Mounties, to go with 13 points.

Imrane Amadou (Cotonou, Benin) also added 14 rebounds, with seven of them coming on the offensive end.
- For Behrend, Derrick Clark and Kenny Fukon each tallied 19 points. Dorian Connors grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
How it Happened
- Over the first five minutes, Behrend jumped out to a 9-2 lead. During that time, the Mounties committed three turnovers and went 1-3 from the field.
- Mount Aloysius would come back to score the next seven to tie the game at nine. The Lions then countered with a 10-3 run of their own to get a 19-12 lead.
- The Mounties battled back to take a 23-22 lead, capped by a Christian three pointer, the only Mountie three point field goal of the day.
- Fukon made the final basket of the first half for the Lions before the buzzer, giving them a two-point lead, 27-25, heading into the break.
- Mount Aloysius started the first seven minutes on a 9-3 run, as Amadou finished it by making one of two free throws. That gave the Mounties a 34-30 advantage.
- A Behrend 13-2 run over the next two-plus minutes, gave the Lions a seven point lead, tying their biggest lead in regulation.
- The Mounties battled back to tie the game at 47 with just under three minutes to go. Behrend was able to score four straight points, but the Mounties answered with four of their own over the final minutes, sending the game to overtime, tied at 51.
- In the extra period, the Lions score the first five points and never looked back. They outscored the Mounties 15-4 during the period.
Into the Box Score
- Mount Aloysius struggled from the field for the game. They shot just over 30% for the game, including a 1-17 performance from three point range. They also struggled from the line, going 20-31.
- The Mounties also added to their shot attempts by outrebounding the Lions by 11, for the game. They grabbed 14 offensive rebounds, compared to the Lions O boards.
- Both teams took very good care of the ball, only turning it over 10 times each.

- The Mounties dropped to 9-8 overall and 6-6 in league play. The Lions improved to 12-5 overall with a 9-3 record in the AMCC.
- Mount Aloysius will travel to AMCC leader, La Roche, on Wednesday evening. Game time is slated for 6 PM.
- The Redhawks are coming off a 91-80 victory over Medaille on Saturday, that improved them to 12-1 in AMCC play.
