Cresson -- The Mount Aloysius Men's Basketball team played host to AMCC-foe, Pitt-Greensburg, on Wednesday night. They were unable to overcome a rough night shooting, as they fell to the Bobcats, 60-54.

Carlos Palacio (Bilbao, Spain, Phelps School) missed registering a double-double by one point, as he finished the game with nine points and ten rebounds.

Trent McErlane (Greenville, PA, Greenville) dished out a game-high three assists for Mount Aloysius.
- JoJo France led the Bobcats with 19 points, thanks to six, three-point field goals. Cody Spaid grabbed a game-high 13 boards.
How It Happened
- Both teams struggled offensively to begin the game. They missed the first seven shots, combined. Through the first ten minutes, the score was 10-7 in favor of the Mounties.
- The offensive struggles continued over the next ten minutes. sparked Mount Aloysius with back-to-back layups to give them their first lead of the game, 11-10.
- The Mounties continued adding to their advantage as they outscored the Bobcats, 9-4, over the rest of the half. Christian had six of his 16 points during the stretch and McErlane added his lone three-pointer of the game.
- In the second half, the game continued to stay close as neither team was able to get more than a four-point advantage until a France three-pointer put the Bobcats up seven, with just under four minutes to play in the game.
- The France basket was his sixth three-pointer of the game. It was also part of a 10-0 run by Pitt-Greensburg that put them ahead by nine.
- Following the UPG run, the Mounties scored seven of the next eight points, to cut the lead to three, with under 30 seconds remaining.
- Cam Seigfried was able to knock down five of his six free throws in the closing seconds, to seal the Bobcat victory, 60-54.
Into the Box Score
- Both teams shot under 30% in the first half, which led to the 20-19 score. Greensburg shot 25% and Mount Aloysius shot 24.4%.
- The second half made a difference though, as the Mounties continued to struggle, shooting 31% for the half. The Bobcats got hot, shooting 54% from the field, including 5-6 on their three-point attempts.
- Mount Aloysius took great care of the ball, Wednesday, as they only committed five turnovers. In contrast, the Bobcats made 12 miscues.
- The final shooting percentage of 28% for Mount Aloysius was their second-lowest of the season. Their lowest of the season came back in November, when they shot 24% against Lebanon Valley.

- The Mounties dropped 11-11 overall, with an 8-9 record in AMCC play. They are still holding on to the sixth, and final AMCC tournament position, with three games remaining. The AMCC Standings can be found

- On Saturday, Mount Aloysius will travel to Pitt-Bradford, for a matchup with the Panthers. Pitt-Bradford is currently 1-21 on the season. In the first meeting this season, the Mounties were victorious, 90-56.
