CARLISLE, Pa. -- Wednesday night, the Mount Aloysius Men's Basketball team traveled to Dickinson College to take on the Red Devils. The Mounties won the high-scoring affair, 96-90 in overtime.

Carlos Palacio (Bilbao, Spain, Phelps School) led the Mounties with a 23 point-10 rebound, double-double. He was 9-17 from the field.
- Freshman,
De'Von Haggans (Harrisburg, PA, Central Dauphin), also had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Haggans played 33 minutes off the bench.

Jason Coronado (Orlando, FL, Ocoee) had a team-high, four assists, to go along with 20 points.
How It Happened
- Mount Aloysius held the lead for a majority of the game. In the first half, they built up an early eight-point lead, as Coronado andÂ
Scottie Porter (New London, CT, Lebanon (PA)) hit three pointers to keep the lead at eight, 17-9.
- Dickinson would battle back in the period, but never take the lead, as they tied the game at 31 and again at 34, before a Haggans layup before the buzzer gave the Mounties a 36-34 advantage, at the break.
- The Mounties sustained control in the second half, leading by as many as six points. Dickinson did close the gap and eventually grabbed a quick lead. They only led by as many as two, while Mount Aloysius still maintained control.
- Palacio missed a fadeaway jumper as time expired in regulation, which would've won the game. The teams headed to an overtime period, tied at 77.
- In overtime, the Mounties scored the first nine points and never looked back. Dickinson got no closer than six points and the Mounties held on for the victory, 96-90.

- Over the course of the game, the two teams shot a combined 74 free throws. Mount Aloysius was 24-40 and Dickinson finished 23-34 from the stripe. Mount Aloysius shot 18 of their 40 free throws in the extra period.
- Mount Aloysius shot over 50% from the field, in the game, which helped them overcome giving up 16 offensive rebounds. Dickinson shot only 38% for the game.

Thomas Connection
- Wednesday's victory marked the first win of Coach
Marcus Thomas' career, at Mount Aloysius, after starting 0-2 over the past weekend.
- The 96 points scored is the highest total a Mountie team has scored since January 19, 2015, when the Mounties lost to Pitt-Greensburg, 110-104. Thomas played in that game for Pitt-Greensburg, registering a 12 point-11 rebound, double-double.
