CRESSON, Pa. -- Despite reeling off 12 unanswered points to tie, the host Mount Aloysius men's basketball team was stymied at game's end by a Penn State Altoona putback, falling 84-81.

Jason Coronado (Orlando, FL, Ocoee) and
Dwayne Jones (Philadelphia, PA, Greater Johnstown) led all scoring, each recording 20 points. Jones also had a double-double, grabbing ten rebounds.

De'Von Haggans (Harrisburg, PA, Central Dauphin) had a double-double as well with ten points and a team-high 14 rebounds.

Enoch Quarcoo (Eastbourne, England) each contributed 12 points.
How It Happened
- After the Lions took the early lead, the Mounties fought back to even the score at ten. As the quarter progressed, the Mounties held the advantage, 20-17.
- The Lions, however, recovered to take the lead, 24-21. The Mounties were not deterred and the lead would change hands again, with the Mounties up 32-31. Although, this was the last lead the Mounties held in the half, with Penn State Altoona stretching the margin to 12, 52-40, as the half concluded.
- After the Lions scored first in the second half, the Mounties went on 11-0 run, punctuated by a Coronado three-pointer, to cut the difference to just two points. The Mounties stayed close with Penn State Altoona the next few minutes and narrowed the lead to one, 59-58.
- While the Mounties stayed within reach for awhile, Penn State Altoona would work their way to 12-point advantage, 81-69. However, as the half wound down, the Mounties made their move, going on a 12-0 run, which ended with two back-to-back layups by Haggans.
- In the final seconds, with the game tied 81-81, Penn State Altoona's Andrew Harman drove the lane and missed his first attempt. However, he got his own rebound and converted the putback. He was fouled on the play and made the free throw to give the Lions the narrow 84-81 win.
