LANCASTER, Pa. -- On Friday, the Mount Aloysius Lacrosse team finished their regular season, with a conference matchup against Lancaster Bible. The Chargers downed the Mounties, 21-9. It was the second straight game against Lancaster Bible, for the Mounties.

Maddie Waite (New Oxford, PA, New Oxford) led the Mounties with five goals on the contest. She also tallied a team-high, eight draw controls.
- Goalkeeper,
Zoe Swank (Romeoville, IL, Romeoville), registered a game-high, ten saves, as well as a team-high, three ground balls.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Mounties and Chargers traded the first four goals, leading a 2-2 match, early on. Waite scored her first of the game, for the first Mountie goal. She was followed up with the second goal, scored by
McKenzie Lasinski (Shavertown, MD, Lake Lehman). The goal was Lasinki's first career goal and it tied the game at two.
- Lancaster Bible subsequently went on a 9-1 scoring run, grabbing an 11-3 lead. Waite scored her second of the game, during the run.

Jordan Mason (Hagerstown, MD, St. Maria Goretti) both jumped into the scoring column with goals. The Mounties still trailed 11-5.
- Before the end of the first half, the Chargers scored three goals, extending their lead heading into the break, 14-5.
- LBC scored four of the first five, second half goals, to score a commanding 18-6 lead. Waite added her third goal of the contest, as the lone Mountie goal during the stretch.
- Mount Aloysius cut the Charger lead to ten, as Waite and Figiniski added markers, for their fourth and second goals of the game, respectively.
- The Chargers added three more goals before Waite scored the final goal of the game, with just under two minutes left. They were unable to add more, leaving the final score at 21-9.
INTO THE BOX SCORE
- Lancaster Bible created more scoring opportunities than Mount Aloysius, tallying more than double the amount of Shots (40-19) and Shots on Goal (31-14), than the Mounties.
- The Chargers also won the turnover battle, as the Mounties turned it over nine times, compared to only four Charger miscues.
UP NEXT
The Mounties will look for the opportunity to extend their season, as they travel to face SUNY Morrisville, on Sunday afternoon, in the first round of the NEAC playoffs. They fell to the Mustangs, 25-5, in their earlier matchup this season. Morrisville won the NEAC regular season conference championship, going undefeated in their conference schedule.
