- Set number three started off poorly for Mount Aloysius, as well, as the Marlins scored the first five points, and ten of the first 14, jumping out 10-4. The Mounties held strong through the rest of the set, as they were down 23-13, they scored five of the next six points to make the match closer. VWU finished the set with the last point, downing the Mounties, 3-0 in Game 1 of the tournament.
GAME 2 (vs. Geneva)
- After shaking off the rust in Game One, the Mounties started off hot in Game Two, picking up the first set, 25-21. They had ten kills, but only committed six errors, helping them take the 1-0 lead.
- The Golden Tornadoes flipped the script in the second set, also winning 25-21. Mount Aloysius struggled in the attack game, only registering five kills.
