CRESSON, Pa. -- On Wednesday, the Mount Aloysius Men's Soccer team played their first official game at home, since the 2019 season. They hosted the Bethany Bison (1-1-1) in a tough fought draw.

Tevin Beadle (Kingston, Jamaica, St. George's College) led the Mounties by scoring their lone goal of the game. He also attempted a game-high, four shots.

Lachie Back (Gordon, Australia, St. Piux X College) added the assist on the Mountie goal, finding Beadle with a pass into the box.

Tucker Hays (Watsontown, PA, Warrior Run) finished with a team-high, three saves. The Bison goalkeeper, Salihovic, had four saves. The game was Hays' first action of the season.
How It Happened
- The first half was a physical battle, resulting in 21 total fouls. Neither team was able to find the back of the net, leaving the first half scoreless.
- Mount Aloysius almost scored in the first half, when Beadle found the back of the net, in the eighth minute. However, the goal was called off due to an offsides call on the Mounties.
- In the second half, the action heated up. Beadle finally scored his first goal of the season, as he took a pass from Back to find the back of the net. The goal gave the Mounties a 1-0 lead, just over three minutes into the period.
- Bethany continued to push the Mounties, as they hit the post, only two minutes later, followed by a sliding save from Hays. The Bison would have more chances.
- Following a foul on Mount Aloysius, Bethany would score on a free kick. Ramiro Veiga took the kick and sent it into the box. Fausto Gionchetti was able to find the back of the net, with a header, tying the game at one.
- After the Bison goal in the 63rd minute, there would only be one more shot on goal for the half. The teams would head to overtime.
- During the first overtime period, neither team created much of a scoring opportunity. Bethany attempted three shots and Mount Aloysius did not attempt any.
- In the final period, both teams again struggled for an advantage, leaving the ten minutes scoreless, ending the game in a draw.
Into The Box Score
- The game was very physical, but even. Each team had over 20 fouls during the 110 minute match. Both squads also picked up multiple yellow cards.
- Mount Aloysius had a brief advantage in the first half, offensively, as they attempted seven of their ten shots and had four of their five corner kicks. Ironically, they scored on their only attempted shot in the second half.
- This was the Mounties' second game of the season that ended in a draw. They tied their first game of the season, at RIT, 2-2.

- The Men's Soccer team are set to host Waynesburg, on Saturday, as part of a Men's and Women's Doubleheader. The first match will begin at 1 pm.
- Waynesburg is currently 1-1 on the season, including an 8-2 victory, on Wednesday against La Roche.
